About me

My name is Dawn and I live in the small town of Hornsea in beautiful East Yorkshire, where, when not needle felting, I enjoy long walks and birdwatching. I've been mad about animals and birds since being a small child and as you can see this has greatly influenced what I choose to make.
All my wool is sourced in Yorkshire. There is nothing like starting with a bag of pure wool fibre, stabbing away and seeing a character appear as I work to create my wool sculptures.
The needle felting process uses a stabbing technique, using a special needle, to transform the wool fibres into a solid creation. My aim is for each piece to have it's own personality, and depending on size and complexity they takes between a few hours and up to 3 days to create.
Wool is a natural regenerative fibre that is also compostable and I try to use natural or repurposed packaging wherever possible to reduce my eco footprint.
